  Hello from Indiana
Posted by: IndianaSteve - 01-02-2018, 12:48 PM - Forum: Introductions - Replies (7)

I’ll take a minute and do the introduction, I’m Steve from a small town of Converse in Indiana. I’ve been into rocketry for some years now with the low and mid power stuff, but as of late have been getting more interested in high power. I’ve been fortunate enough to finally find a rocket club reasonably close (1 1/2hrs) from me and am hoping to get my L1 very soon, as I will be building my rocket here soon.
Hope I can learn a bit from you veterans and start flying high! Thanks for having me.

  Loki 38/240 Motor Hardware
Posted by: MarkH - 12-31-2017, 09:29 AM - Forum: Give it away.... - No Replies

Since I don't have any flyable 38 mm rockets at the moment and don't really fly that much either, I'm looking to clear some stuff out and maybe burn more reloads than I buy in 2018. But I will give this one away;  a flown twice 38/240 Loki hardware set. Details follow.

For someone looking to certify level 1 I will provide this hardware set, and 1 reload free of charge. The only catch is the recipient must post a build thread here on this forum (cross post of build on another forum will void this offer) of the currently unbuilt rocket they plan to fly for certification. Upon completion of rocket and build posts (with pictures) I will provide the hardware and a reload from a Loki vendor.  Bonus, if the flyer flies at MDRA, I will instead provide 3 loads (1 of each red, white, and blue) for this case. If interested send me a PM on this forum.

  MDRA ESL 233
Posted by: MarkH - 12-20-2017, 06:22 AM - Forum: Regional - Replies (5)

Here's a pic of someone's L3 flight, I think. Some mach diamonds, shining bright like Rihanna. The only pics I took other than of my own, just testing out some settings.

And here are a few pics of my Estes MDRM.  Launched on an Aerotech K458W. I missed the liftoff because the LCO accidently drag raced it with another rocket.  It reached about 9100 ft and landed out by Goldsboro road.

  Semroc Centurion-F
Posted by: MarkH - 12-16-2017, 10:24 AM - Forum: Mid Power - Replies (6)

I bought a pack of Estes F motors and decided it was time to open the Centurion-F.  I purchased this kit when it was released in spring or summer 2013.  It is intended to be flown on the then new Estes F15 29mm black powder motors.  The Centurion-F was part of the last batch of new kits released by Semroc, before Semroc founder Carl McLawhorn passed away a short time later.
