Starlight Saber
#1
I glued this together about two years ago, threw a coat of primer on it in the spring of 2014, and then let it sit while I dithered about how to finish it. Finally decided on Rusto metallic gold with Testors trim tape; insides of the tube fins are black at the top, red at the bottom. Will fly Saturday.

That is cool Rich! The red inside tubes are a nice touch.

That would make for an interesting 5 engine cluster design....

It'd make for a really unstable 5 engine cluster design.

Very cool. Love to see an upscale of that. (I know, I know, "Why don't you build it yourself?") Smile

The Syracuse Rocket Club was working on a ~5x upscale, but progress got stalled some time ago.  Sad

cool to see some of my old kits still being made. 10 years and tens of thousands of Starlight kits made.

With some (significant) nose weight, and a few more open tubes at the aft end you could get it to be stable I would bet.. Wink
