Got the first coats of primer on yesterday. Had a nice warm day to get started on that. Really glad I bought three cans of primer when I went to Home Depot since the first coat took nearly a full can! O.O

I've been managing to get painting sessions in here or there. The payload tube is all painted white and looking very nice. The booster has a few spots of primer showing through and a few spots I sanded down after an oops. Need more white paint to finish it. Next painting session I will start working on the vent band and nose cone, get the first coats of red down.

Painting sessions are becoming few and far between as New England gets colder and colder however.

It's close. It's getting very very close. Just need to touch up some of the white areas, pull the masking tape off, finish the av-bay, install the vinyl (should be here next week), stick a motor in it and light the fuse.

Painting is DONE!!!!! I finished touching up the white today and unmasked it a little while later. The result is something I am most proud of. Now I am eagerly awaiting my order from stickershock as the decal should make this rocket BEUTIFUL.

It's as solidly built as can be. Looks great even without the stickers.
Very good job.
Are we going to see this fly in December?

This will be flying on Decmeber 19th in Berwick, Maine. L910 will be its first flight. Should the rocket come out to 14 lbs. like I think, then it should go about 7,500' on that flight. I just need a scale that can actually weight the whole thing. I'm still putting together the av-bay too, mostly it's just drilling a few more holes and mounting a terminal block strip before mounting the sled onto its rod guides.

Thank you! I worked rather hard to make this the nicest looking rocket I've built.
