Thumbs Up
It was an epic launch of a MAC Performance Radial Flyer to 13,000 feet on a CTI M1101.  Top speed was 1440 mph, or Mach 1.88!

Recovered two miles away by two young men who were fishing at their aunt's house.

Special thanks to Robert DeHate (L3CC), Gloria Robinson (witness), Scott Szympruch (package reviewer), Tom Cohen (helper and recovery driver), Nathan Tocus (eyes on with binoculars), Dave Greger (moral support), and Glenn Ramey (just being a jerk :grinSmile.

And a special HUGE thanks to the board members of MDRA.  You guys rock, and we have the best club in the world!

It is a good feeling.  All I can say is wow.

Good question. I think it got a little squirrelly when it hit Mach. I had 1.7 cal of stability, maybe needed 2.0. Also, it had an extra long booster in order to accommodate the big motor in a 4-inch canvas rocket. There was very little wind, so I think it was just the arc. The CTI white motors are designed for longer burns, so if it is not exactly true, then it gets pretty exaggerated.

I am going to try it on a 54mm K515 next month.
