April WVSOAR Rio Grande Launch Delayed April 16th
#1
Exclamation
Due to prevailing cold conditions, with snow coating expected at the launch field, WVSOAR Nar 564 will delay our April Club Launch until our "rain date", Saturday, April 16th at Bob Evans Farm, Rio Grande, Ohio.  Please pass the word...we just felt it was going to be too cold and that few would show up and be miserable on April 9th.

Sorry for the short notice, but we've been watching the weather and the season grow closer and closer.

The first April club launch for WVSOAR NAR 564 was to be this Saturday, April 9th  10-5pm
at the Bob Evans Farm field in Rio Grande, Ohio.

While the 30% snow showers are possible at any time of that day, the threat of freezing weather and snow on the field has made the chances of low-turnout very likely.  Therefore, we are delaying one week to our "rain date" on April 16th.

1/8" 3/16" 1/4" launch rods available. 1010 and 1515 rails also on site. 10,000ft. MSL waiver with "K" motor limit.
Vendor expected to be in attendance for those last minute purchases.
Food available at Bob Evans, Subway, McDonalds, and a nearby gas station quick-market.

For further questions, please check out the WVSOAR NAR 564 facebook page, and for updates.

Boy, what a difference a week makes....
Last weekend was 22F at sunrise both Saturday and Sunday.
We postponed our club launch a week.
Today, it was easily74F and sunny in the clear afternoon skies.

Eight vehicles turned out, and easily 40 rocket launches by 3pm.

It was a good day for launching! Rolleyes
