Madcow had an Independence weekend sale, 15% everything in stock. I got their last Formula 200. Blue, not what I would have preferred, but who knows if or when Curtis will make any more?
I was able to snag a retainer, a 75 > 98 mm adapter, 33" Nomex, and some RocketPoxy, too. Saved $115 total.
This is probably the biggest thing I will ever build, at 8" diameter by 10'4" tall. No rush on the build, as I am planning to debut it at LDRS 36 in April.
Hoping to snag chutes and harnesses on Black Friday or Labor Day, etc.

Snagged a 15' military surplus chute from Always Ready Rocketry for $69. So, that saved me another $100+. Rocket is due to arrive Wednesday.

I've seen so much of that 'probably will be the biggest thing/motor I fly'. It never is... Anyway good luck with the build, should be a good one.

My dad was pretty much the same way. When I got my L1 he said he'd never do that, too expensive. Now he's going to get his L2 later this month, and gearing up for an L flight or two at LDRS 36. It's inly a matter of time before the two of us head out to black rock in an attempt to break records...
