  Math behind a suicide burn
Posted by: gereshes - 04-02-2018, 08:35 AM - Forum: Rocketry-Related - Replies (1)

I'm currently writing a two post series about the math behind a suicide burn. The first part, which can be found here and is up now, goes over the system dynamics and works on simulating the system in Matlab. Part two, which drops next week Monday, focuses more on the analytical math behind suicide burns.

Let me know what you think!

Thank you,

  New MMX kit coming soon
Posted by: BARGeezer - 03-27-2018, 07:29 PM - Forum: Micro Maxx MMX - No Replies

Saw this at erockets today:

Nice to see a new MMX kit being introduced.

EDIT: The link is no longer working, looks like the page was deleted. Maybe someone spilled the beans too soon at erockets. But it's a MMX scaled Blue Bird Zero. On TRF, it was mentioned that four MMX kits are forthcoming. Woo hoo!

Update: 4 new kits are the BBZ, Goblin, Fat Boy, and the Hawk.

Has anyone flying a Bull Pup with a D10-7 motor?
I've flown mine many times with a C6-7, but I'd like to get a little more altitude!
Any issues? Thanks Smile!!

Just found this forum this so morning so.......
I became a B.A.R. 9 years ago, and haven't looked back!! I Launched my first rocket, an Estes K#11 Wac Corporal in 1968...yep! Im OLD Big Grin !!
Its almost sickening how many rockets ive built in the last 9 years, and I enjoy every second of it! I fly mainly low power with some mid power thrown in....
the biggest motor ive used is a G80 in an Estes Leviathon..BEAUTIFUL flying model!! I do fly a lot of D powered stuff including some 188mm to 24mm conversions....im currently building a Rocketarium Little John for my Great Grandson as his 2nd rocket...he is only7, and not quite ready for the building part yet, but he loves to see them FLY!! Gonna try to post a few pics here! Have a GREAT DAY Smile Smile !

Posted by: Sunward - 02-28-2018, 03:27 PM - Forum: Vendor & Manufacturer Display - No Replies

Sunward Rockets www.sunward1.com is proud to announce our completed website overhaul and re-launch.

The new website handles e-commerce for the US market for Sunward rocketry products, Hypertek, and CTI ProX line of high power hardware.

These upgrades include:

  • more powerful dedicated server
  • new web software
  • more secure user passwords
  • new server security features
  • SSL https certificate
  • all user data is now encrypted
  • drop down menus
  • mobile friendly layout on all pages
  • credit cards payment via PayPal
  • display searches based on price, newness, and popularity
  • full integration of blog post to Facebook, Twitter, and Google+
The website boasts a user-friendly, modern and colorful design for quick and easy access to all products and information.

The website redesign took over eight months as we looked at a variety of platforms. After experimentation and research, we chose WordPress as a Content Management System and WooCommerce for the business and inventory side. Wordpress is the most popular website management system in the world.

Although the overhaul changed Sunward1.com, we plan to implement more improvements in the future. We will continue to listen to customer feedback and make changes to better your shopping experience.

  Recent builds
Posted by: BARGeezer - 02-26-2018, 10:26 AM - Forum: Micro Maxx MMX - Replies (3)

Hi, new member here. Here's a couple of pics of recent MMX builds. So recent that they're still "nekkid". I see that the last post here was over 2 years ago. Hope we can keep this section going for all the Maxxers out there.

ASP That Tube! rocket. Easiest MMX build ever.

Fliskits Intergalactic Man of Space. Next to an Astron Spaceman clone.

I hope to do a build thread in the near future here. Maybe a kit, maybe a scratch or downscale.  See ya!
