Sunward Hobbies Completes Website Upgrades and Re-launch
Posted by: Sunward - 07-17-2018, 04:40 PM - Forum: Vendor & Manufacturer Display - No Replies

Sunward Hobbies https://www.sunwardhobbies.ca is proud to announce our completed website overhaul and re-launch.

The new website handles e-commerce for the Canadian market for general hobby products, Sunward rocketry, Hypertek, and the CTI ProX line of high power hardware.

These upgrades include:

  • more powerful dedicated server
  • new web software
  • new server back-end software
  • new database engine
  • more secure user passwords
  • new server security features
  • Extended Valuation (EV) SSL https certificate
  • user data encryption
  • drop down menus
  • mobile friendly layout
  • credit cards payment via PayPal and authorize.net
  • display searches based on price, newness, and popularity
  • full integration of blog post to Facebook, Twitter, and Google+
The website boasts a user-friendly, modern and colorful design for quick and easy access to all products and information.

The website redesign took over one year as we looked at a variety of platforms. After experimentation and research, we chose WordPress as a Content Management System and WooCommerce for the business and inventory side. WordPress is the most popular website management system in the world.

Although the overhaul changed Sunwardhobbies.ca, we plan to implement more improvements in the future. We will continue to listen to customer feedback and make changes to better your shopping experience.

CTI ProX line of rocket motors are listed and done on an quote basis. Sunward may implement changes in the future once stock supply is better established at CTI.

I'm interested in buying a good condition used CTI 75 mm 3 grain or 2 grain motor (casing, forward closure, nozzle holder, and 2 threaded retaining rings). Generation I or II is acceptable if in good condition.
Please PM if you have one for sale.
Thanks for looking!

  Amazing Lego SpaceX Falcon Heavy
Posted by: bigdave - 06-12-2018, 04:42 PM - Forum: Rocketry-Related - Replies (1)

Saw this on another forum. The first-ever SpaceX proposal to LEGO is about to enter into review. It's extremely impressive. 32" tall and 2018 pieces (get it?). It's only about 100 supporters away from the needed 10,000. There's a link below to see pictures and support.

Update for CTI ProX Motor Orders for Canada
Posted by: Sunward - 05-23-2018, 10:59 AM - Forum: Vendor & Manufacturer Display - Replies (1)

Cesaroni (CTI) is now back in production, but inventory is very low as dealers replenish stock and fill back orders.

After speaking with staff at Cesaroni, we can offer the following guidelines for ordering high power motors in Canada:

The best way to get the desired motors is to place a pre-order 1-2 months ahead of time. Pre-orders would secure the motors before sale to other dealers.

Larger motors, such as Pro75 and Pro98, may need 2-3 months lead time.

Allow 1-2 weeks for Sunward to receive and ship motors to the final address.

There is no production on White Thunder, C-Star, and VMAX until further notice.

Sunward is working with Cesaroni to offer the best selection of motors to rocketeers in Canada but current inventory levels require some adjustment and patience.

  The boys and their projects
Posted by: IndianaSteve - 05-14-2018, 09:13 AM - Forum: Your Projects - Replies (4)

Yet another build going on at our house. The boys started their new projects for the next club launch June 10th. My oldest is building a 4” MadCow Cowabunga, and the youngest is building the always great Estes Executioner.
Both boys started motor mount assembly and some fin prep last night. Should be another great launch coming up.
My boys love getting their hands dirty and building just as much as they do flying!
