Smoky Sam

Smoky motors are my second favorites.

Here's my 38mm BAR Crayon Rocket going up on an AT 225FJ.  Seems like the AT smokies put out a bit more smoke than the CTI's. This was in January of this year at the first LUNAR launch of the year at Snow Ranch. Photo courtesy of Qquake2K.

My favorite motors are RED.

The CTI motors are not as smoky but they seem to have a bit more punch than the Black Jacks.

Smoky SAMs are one of my favorites as it seems like you can follow them with a camera a bit easier. The plume of smoke looks awesome.

I flew a AT G53-FJ on Tuesday, first time flying a Black Max reload.  Heck, it was my first time launching a RMS engine (29-40/120)!! It was great, black smoke everywhere.  Very fast launch, too fast to get the "dense smoke plume" effect but cool launch all the same.
