Bridgeton Area Rocket Club (BARC) HPR Launch
#1
Exclamation
On 9/21, at the request of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the FAA issued Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR 5/4119) in support of the Papal Visit by Pope Francis taking place in Philadelphia, PA September 26th through 27th, 2015. The associated FAA Advisory temporarily suspends all flight waivers (including model rockets) operating within the TFR area, and unfortunately our Shiloh, NJ launch site is within this restricted area.

Our HPR launch planned for 9/26/15 has been cancelled due to those imposed FAA flight restrictions.

As such, BARC's Inaugural HPR Launch date has been moved forward 1 week to October 3, 2015. I hope those planning to attend the September 26th launch will be able to make it to the 10/03/15 launch. Barring further FAA restrictions, BARC will resume its regular monthly launches on October 17, 2015.

If you would like to be added to our email news list, please send me an email [barc2014@comcast.net] with your name and email address. That way you'll have the most current club and launch information.

Yes it is disappointing to have that launch cancelled after waiting 93 days for the FAA to process our application...
