Dave my first trek to MDRA was RedGlare in 09. A few of us went down to meet the MDRA team that was hosting LDRS28 on our field in Potter, NY. I have been to each RG since! What an incredible bunch of people and awesome organization down there. A few of us tried and obviously failed miserably to create the current club in Potter as a mirror of MDRA.

They are a model of organization, Every person who wants to take a leadership role in a rocket club should attend a few of MDRA launches and spend time with Bob, Neil, Maggie, Dave Tyson and Dave Weber!

Wish I lived closer! The Xmas tree launch.... now that is something to see.

Yes, you need to attend an Xmas tree launch. The videos just don't do it justice!
I'll be attending more winter launches now I have the trailer. Going to hang a shower curtain across the back, with a small heater inside running off the generator. Should keep it warm enough inside so when we get cold we can go in for a little bit to warm up!
Will sure as hell make it nicer to prep rockets without numb fingers!

Kids and I will be there. Hellraiser looks like it'll be a go... along with a couple others. Might bring the Space Ark for a ride on a 24mm G, just to see what happens. Supplemented ejection charge, of course...

Later!

Does anyone know when the field setup will be? Will it occur Saturday or will people be showing up on Friday?

I have seen them do it on a Thursday or Friday, but I have not heard anything. I have another question out to the BOD, and I have not heard anything. I hope everyone is well.
