Can anyone identify....
#1
James May (formerly of TOP GEAR) posted a link on Farcebook today and it immediately grabbed my attention:

Can anyone identify the rocket in the photo?
At first I though it looked like an Estes M104 Patriot, but then realized there were no bright red fins, infact, there appeared to be no fins.
On closer inspection there are fins but the fincan is clear.

I followed the link(http://stateofinnovation.thomsonreuters....nto-space) but ofcourse that particular image does not appear on the site, there is however a similar image as the page header with the model rocket in the boy-astronaut's hand:

So, what is it?!

I think it might be one of the new Estes RTF birds, the Patriarch.

Yep, I think you've nailed it. Cheers!

Edit: From your link above: "Soon to decorate a RET at a flying field near you."
Never heard of RET before... Let me guess, Rocket Eating Tree?

Yep.  Like I said, got it on clearance super cheap, so I don't mind tossing it up near the trees. Big Grin
